It is a popular belief that buying a property in Spain is a very complex process which is open to a whole range of problematic areas and the cheats and scams that seem to have led the majority of UK buyers to believe that if buying a holiday home or permanent residence in Spain, then it is bound to be illegal.
It does seem to be that common sense, on occasion, is left at the airport and the purchase of a property then ensues over a few glasses of local wine. This is not how you would undertake a property purchase in the UK and obviously is not recommended in Spain.
